What failed tool calls return, and what to do about each code.

Error format

A failed tool call returns isError: true and a JSON error. message is always a full sentence your agent can read out.

fix and field are only there when they apply. Before a tool runs, auth and rate limit errors come back as HTTP errors with the same body.

Plan errors

Your agent tells you what ran out, with a link to the plans.

Code	Meaning
`NO_ACTIVE_PLAN`	The free trial is used up and the account has no plan.
`TRIAL_ENDED`	The free trial's slideshows or copies are used up.
`LIMIT_REACHED`	This month's slideshows are used up.
`DESIGN_LIMIT_REACHED`	This month's copies are used up.

Common errors

Code	Meaning	What to do
`UNAUTHORIZED`	The API key or OAuth token is missing or invalid.	Reconnect, or check the key.
`RATE_LIMITED`	More than 20 requests in a minute.	Wait the seconds in the message, then retry.
`INVALID_INPUT`	A parameter is missing or the wrong type.	The field name is in field.
`NOT_FOUND`	That post doesn't exist on this account.	Use a post_id the account made.
`FORMAT_NOT_FOUND`	That format doesn't exist.	Pick an id from list_design_formats.
`DUPLICATE_POST`	The same post was made in the last half hour.	Edit it with edit_design_post.
`TOO_MANY_SLIDE_TYPES`	A design call asked for too many slide types.	At most 3 to create, 2 new per update.
`DESIGN_OVER_LIMIT`	The design needs more slots than a format holds.	Spread the grid over more slides.
`DESIGN_TOO_BIG`	The designer ran out of time.	Retry with less in one request.
`DESIGNING_TOO_FAST`	Too many designs in an hour.	Wait, or use an existing format.
`APP_NOT_FOUND`	An app name or id matched nothing.	Retry with an id from the closest matches.
`NOT_A_SLIDESHOW`	The link isn't an Instagram or TikTok photo post.	Use a carousel or photo slideshow link.
`INTERNAL_ERROR`	Something broke on ReelFarm’s side.	Try again in a minute.
